TITLE X, McKinney-Vento Education of Homeless Student and Youth
Title X, McKinney-Vento Education of Homeless Children and Youth guarantees that students/families identified as being homeless have access to all educational services.
Currently, Picayune School District does not receive additional funding through Title X. Picayune School District dedicates a portion of Title I, Part A funds and district funds to meet the educational needs of identified homeless students/families.

Due limited funding, Picayune School District does not use available funds to support rent, utilities, or personnal transportation needs of identified homeless students/families.
Picayune School District operates a Parenting Center located at 505 Laurel Street, Picayune, MS 39466. This office is staffed by a counselor, nurse, and two social workers who give direction as it pertains to services offered to those students and families identified as being homeless.
